Join Us in Celebrating Public Service Recognition Week
Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) is a yearly opportunity to celebrate the everyday work of our nation’s public servants and to improve public understanding of and appreciation for their contributions. Hosted by the Partnership for Public Service and the Public Employees Roundtable, PSRW has received the support of the president, members of Congress and officials from all levels of state and local government. This year, PSRW will be celebrated May 3-9, with events throughout the country.
Our capstone celebration is held every year on the National Mall, with more than 100 civilian and military agencies sponsoring exhibits that showcase the innovative and quality work performed by public employees. We hope you can join us for the Mall event, which runs Thursday through Sunday of PSRW.
This year’s theme, “Innovation and Opportunity,” gives citizens the chance to see the breadth of groundbreaking work being done in government, from renewable energy to tsunami warning systems, and to explore the many ways to make a difference by choosing careers in public service.
