Public Knowledge 10th Anniversary
In honor of our 10th anniversary, we're doing something a little different for the IP3 Awards this year. We've spent 10 years grilling big telecom and media companies. Now it's our turn to sit in the hot seat.
This year's festivities will include dinner, open bar, live music, and a roast of PK and its staff.
October, 6 - Announcing the Roasters!
Michael J. Copps, Commissioner, FCC
Representative Ed Markey, US House of Representatives, Ranking Member of the House Resources Committee
Vonya McCann, Senior VP, Government Affairs, Sprint Nextel
Laurie Racine, President, Center for the Public Domain, Co-Founder, Public Knowledge
Gary Shapiro, President and CEO, Consumer Electronics Association
Please join us this year as we honor Senator Ron Wyden (D, OR), Beth Noveck, and Peter Jaszi for their work to advance the public interest in one of the "three IP's": Intellectual Property, Information Policy, and Internet Protocol.
The judges for this year's competition were:
Craig Aaron, president and CEO of Free Press;
Patricia Aufderheide, professor at the American University School of Communications;
Tyrone Brown, former Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission;
