Health Education Administration (HEA) is excited to announce its summer Public Health Education Collaborative (PHEC): Public Speaking Workshop I: Skills and Techniques.
Description: The ability to effectively deliver information to audiences is essential because it affects how that information is learned, applied and passed on to others. The Public Speaking Level 1 workshop gets participants actively involved in identifying and practicing the skills and techniques used in public speaking.
Objectives: After completing Public Speaking Level 1, participants will be able to:
- Describe the 5 Public Speaking Style Elements
- Describe 4 Speaker Aids
- Participate in activities and observe public speaking delivery style
CHES: The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. designates Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Health Education Administration (LACDPH/HEA) as a provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education (Provider number MEP 2460). Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) may receive upto 3 Category I CECH for this event.
Nursing: 3 Nursing CEU's pending approval
