(A) Psychological Principles (days 1-2)
If you’re looking to design more engaging digital technologies and want quick results, then this workshop is for you. Over two days, you will learn to recognize and apply over 50 psychological principles that will help you build more engaging websites, mobile apps, wearables, and digital campaigns. You'll also enjoy an introduction to Psychological Architectures, proven patterns of persuasive design.
Our training is science-based, but offers simple and effective principles that work, with clear visual examples and hands-on exercises that will not only reinforce your learning but also, your ability to apply them.
(B) Psycholgical Architectures (optional 3rd day)
Whereas our foundational workshops focuses on the core principles of persuasive design, this workshop teaches participants how to combine those principles into proven design patterns called Psychological Architectures.
What’s a Psychological Architecture? It’s simply a combination of psychological principles that work so well together in particular contexts, that they have become the most effective persuasive design patterns, behavior change theories, and best practices.
These super patterns are so effective that they often earn nick names such as:
By the end of this workshop, you will possess an arsenal of proven persuasive design templates and recipes that you can use to fast-track your next project, fix-up current projects, and help you select the right Psychological Architecture for the job.
Prerequisites: You can only take our Psychological Architectures workshop after completing the Psychological Principles workshop. If you have previously taken Psychological Principles, please give us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can email you an access code to the 3rd day only.

Cancellation and refund policy: Registrants who cancel their reservation 14 calendar day prior to the start date, will receive a 100% refund. Registrants who cancel their reservation 13 to 7 days prior to the start date, can elect to receive a 50% refund or 100% credit towards future training. Registrants who cancel their reservation 6 days prior to the start date, will not receive a refund but will receive a 100% credit towards any future training. Any registrant who attends the workshop and wishes to withdraw during the morning of the first day, will receive a 100% refund by returning their training materials and notifying their instructor by the start of lunch on the first day. In the case of an unforeseen circumstances or emergencies, AlterSpark reserves the right to cancel this course up to 7 days prior to the start. If AlterSpark needs to cancel the course, all registrants will receive a 100% refund. AlterSpark will not be held liable for any expenses incurred by registrants.
Licence to use exclusive design resources: All participants will receive exclusive persuasive design resources, including the Persuasive Design Toolkit, which are not available to the public. Each paying participant may use these resources to support commercial or non-commercial projects. All of these tools and resources are copy written and licensed for sharing with up to 4 persons within each participant’s organization. However, usage is subject to these restrictions. The course content and tools may not be reworked, repackaged, rebranded, distributed, or used to build derivative educational products or design resources. Any project or work that makes use of these resources must give credit to the source.
