GOAL! How Orlando City Soccer Scissor-Kicked Its Way into the MLS

7:30-9:00 a.m. April 17 at the Citrus Club

Networking begins at 7:30 a.m.; the program begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Corner-kick. Sudden death. Side winder. Header… If you’re not familiar with these terms, you likely will be soon. It’s been a big year for soccer in Orlando. For the team behind the Orlando City Soccer club, it’s also been a year of big announcements, major news and lots of change. Orlando City Soccer is Major League Soccer’s (MLS’s) newest expansion club and is set to play next year in the soon-to-be constructed $84 million, 18,000-seat stadium. Come to the monthly PRSA breakfast to hear Teresa Tatlonghari, vice president of marketing for Orlando City Soccer, talk about how the team used integrated communications and grassroots PR to build a groundswell of support for a Major League Soccer franchise and new stadium. With the start of the new season, this is sure to be a popular program.
