Is your staff getting the training they need? Are you providing the topics and amount of hours that are required in rule?
Adult Service Rules that went into effect on July 13, 2012 outline 8 hours of required training for staff during their first year of employment. These rules apply to providers who are performing:
- Vocational Habilitation (5123:2-9-14)
- Supported Employment Community (5123:2-9-15)
- Supported Employment Enclave (5123:2-9-16)
- Adult Day Support (5123:2-9-17)
Each of these services has specific topics such as:
Skill building in assessment
Ongoing job supports
We are pleased to make this 8-hour training available in a correspondence format.
$70 per person (paper)
$50 per person (electronic)
How it works: After purchasing the course, participants will receive reading material and activities which should take them approximately 8 hours to complete. They will track their time and return the time sheet, activity sheets and test to us to be graded. They must receive at least 70% on the test in order to receive a certificate of completion.
