As student pastors we all understand it takes countless hours of casting vision and implementing strategy to disciple students more effectively. But the reality is that no matter how hard we try there is always one relationship that will out impact ours. The parents! Good or bad, believer or unbeliever, fan or foe, biological or by law, it doesn't matter because the 40 hours we have with students will never compare to the 3,000 hours they spend at home every year. There is no doubt in my mind that student ministries can more effectively disciple students when they partner with parents. So where do we start? It's not exactly the easiest thing to do. Life is busy and we already have enough on our plate. So how can we effectively partner with parents and at the same time do our job as student pastors? Come join me as we dive into the nitty-gritty's of partnering with parents in student ministry.
