WORKSHOP UPDATE: This workshop is currently sold out, but there is still opportunitiy to register for this program. Register to attend an online environmental education workshop specifically for charter school educators about the Project Learning Tree (PLT) program. Registration is required to attend the workshop.

Project Learning Tree is an award-winning, multidisciplinary program for PreK-8 grades. It features hands-on learning activities, differentiated instruction, reading and technology connections, outdoor explorations and can be used to enhance your STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math)programming.

There is no cost for charter teachers to register or attend this professional development training and this training will qualify for 6 instructional hours.

This is a self-paced online workshop. Components of the course includes: online video modules, activity guide assignments, and a workshop evaluation. All components of the workshop must be met (completed) within a certain allotted time frame in order to receive the PLT workshop certificate (used for documenting completion of the course).

**Please Note**
Teachers
will need to contact their school's professional development coordinator/staff development contact to register this course through their county's Professional Development System. All questions, concerns, and special county requirements about documentation should be asked prior to registering for the workshop to ensure eligibility for in-service credits.

The Office of Environmental Education seeks to cultivate and support environmental citizenship: the awareness, understanding and appreciation of Florida's environment; and the capacity to think critically and participate constructively in its protection. The Office of Environmental Education’s core program includes outdoor experiential environmental education for middle school students, the annual Florida Green School Awards Program, and summer teacher professional development workshops. In addition, the Office of Environmental Education supports outreach initiatives within the Department of Environmental Protection, including the agency’s annual Earth Day at the Capitol event, as well as regional education efforts such as the Gulf of Mexico Alliance’s Environmental Education
