Project HEAL

Project HEAL is a 501c3 non-profit organization that raises money for people with eating disorders who cannot afford treatment, promotes healthy body image and self-esteem, and inspires everyone that full recovery from an eating disorder is possible.

Eating disorders have one of the highest mortality rates of all mental illnesses, and require intense treatment, which can cost upwards of $30,000 per month, yet insurance companies often refuse to cover these costs and most people cannot afford to pay out of pocket. The cofounders of Project HEAL met in recovery from anorexia when they were just 15 years old.  In our 8 years in existence, we have sent over 35 people to treatment, and opened over 40 chapters across the United States, Canada, and Australia. We have partnered with 14 treatment centers across the country and one in Jerusalem to provide a minimum of one free treatment grant per year to our applicants.  Project HEAL has been featured in People Magazine, The Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, and many other publications.
