Event Details

Harald and Andrea Batista, the Musk Foundation, ONEHOPE Wine, Campo 185, and Zion Project invite you and a guest to a private screening of Girl Rising, followed by a cocktail reception.

This award winning film, narrated by Liam Neeson, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Salma Hayek, highlights the stories of 9 girls around the world in their courageous pursuit of education.

Theater doors open at 7:00 pm and the screening begins promptly at 7:30 pm. Please arrive early to get your seats. 

Digital or printed ticket is required for admittance.

An intimate cocktail reception, fundraiser, and silent auction will follow at Campo185 Restaurant where attendees will enjoy complimentary wine, hors d'oeuvres, and live music by Gabi Holzwarth. 

Join us for an inspiring and uplifting evening with speeches by the founder of Zion Project and special guest speaker, Matt Flannery, founder and CEO of Kiva, one of the world's most successful micro-lending programs. 

100% of proceeds from this event will go towards the safety and education of girls rescued from sex trafficking in East Africa.

Help us reach our goal of raising $50,000! Donations of the following made prior to the event wlll be announced at the screening:

  • Diamond- $10,000 or more (4 VIP tickets, honorary mention at event, name plaque in our Rescue Home)
  • Platinum- $5,000 or more (2 VIP tickets, honorary mention at event, & 8x10 framed photo of girls)
  • Gold- $1000 or more (2 VIP tickets, honorary mention at event, 5x7 framed photo)
  • Silver- $500 or more (2 tickets, honorary mention at event)

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Street parking options are limited in Palo Alto. Please allow enough time to find parking.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? 

Yes or scan from your smartphone.


What is the refund policy?

No refunds available, but any other person can attend the event in your place as long as they have your ticket.

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT!

Matt Flannery, founder and CEO of Kiva, one of the world's most successful micro-lending programs, will be our guest speaker at the silent auction. Matt is Skoll Awardee and Ashoka Fellow and was selected to FORTUNE magazine's "Top 40 under 40" list in 2009.  In 2011, Matt was chosen for the The Economist “No Boundaries” Innovation Award.
