Mikayla is just like any other normal seventeen year old girl with a crush; except unlike other girls, Mikayla has over 2,000 Bible verses memorized and that the object of her affection is her Bible Quiz team captain JP. This year JP only has eyes for the National Bible Quiz Championship. Last year he placed third nationally and now in their last year, he wants to their church to win. In order to succeed though, they must compete against thousands of other teens from across the US including their biggest rival, heavy-weight Cedar Park. Mikayla hopes that if she can lead their team to victory she will find the love she lacks in her own dysfunctional family and win the ultimate prize: JP's love.

When & Where
Through diverse year-round programming, a world-class annual festival, and ongoing efforts to include new voices, new media, and new audiences, Indie Memphis is an ArtsMemphis funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which enriches, inspires, and connects the Memphis community while cultivating interest in, and development of, independent film.
The organization's the 17th annual Indie Memphis Film Festival, presented by Duncan-Williams, Inc., takes place October 30 - November 2 in Midtown Memphis' Overton Square, home to more than a dozen locally-owned restaurants and bars. The festival's screening venues, which include the Playhouse on the Square, the Circuit Playhouse, the new Hattiloo Theatre, and three screens at Malco's Studio on the Square, are all within a couple of blocks of each other, creating an energetic community-friendly atmosphere unlike any other on the festival circuit.
