HERMANOS/Support: Networking 101

Networking is key. Over the years this proven formula in the Latino multimedia community has demonstrated that by supporting one another this is how projects get successfully produced and jobs attained in front and behind the camera. Meet two brothers who are accomplished filmmakers in their own right and have joined talents forging a production company that has rendered them a force to reckon with in the industry.

8-9: TIO LOUIE Reporta/Chat: Interviews with Narrative Filmmakers

9-10: Networking & visiting DJ's

  • Moderator: TIO LOUIE/Louis E. Perego Moreno, President, Skyline Features
  • 2 Interviews: Rashaad Ernesto Green named Filmmaker Magazine's elite 25 New Faces of Independent Film and Reinaldo Marcus Green fresh from the Cannes Film Festival where he screened a film made in Africa.

   Rashaad Ernesto Green

Starting his career as an actor, his highly acclaimed feature film Gun Hill Road starring Esai Morales and Judy Reyes, premiered in the 2011 Sundance Film Festival U.S., Dramatic Competition. In 2014, Rashaad directed his first episode of television for NBC's top grossing series Grimm and is confirmed to direct another NBC hit show early next year.  Rashaad is currently developing his second feature, which will go into production in 2015. He received his BA from Dartmouth College, MFA from the NYU Graduate Acting Program and NYU's Graduate Film Program.

  Reinaldo Marcus Green

Reinaldo Marcus Green is a graduate student in the NYU Tisch School of the Arts program. His films have traveled the globe as official selections premiering at prestigious film festivals including Los Angeles Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival and have garnered distribution and been televised by networks such as BET and HBO. He went in May to the Festival de Cannes with his short film, STONE CARS set in Africa. While working as an assistant to directors Kasi Lemmons and Todd Solondz, he has been recognized as a Wasserman Finalist while earning some of the highest awards in the NYU film program including, most recently, the 2014 Media Services Producing Award. 



  TIO LOUIE/Louis E. Perego Moreno (Moderator)

An Interactive Content Producer & Educator who for 32 years has owned SKYLINE FEATURES, a bilingual multimedia and educational production company developing documentaries, television programming and advertising commercials featuring Latinos, Blacks, Women, Urban Youth and LGBT. He has trained 1,500 Latino & Black Youth over 10 years to produce 70 documentary shorts. For documentary features he was the Producer/Director of Latina Confessions  (2010) & Co-producer of American Dreams Deferred (2012-14) on PBS. For two years he was the President of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers in New York (NALIP) and for over two years produces PRIME LATINO MEDIA Salón, metro-New York's only monthly gathering of Latino multimedia-makers and actors in which over 52 narrative & documentary filmmakers, programmers, casting agents, digital media producers and actors have been interviewed. He has been serving for over 15 years on the Board of Advisors for the Center for Latino Arts & Culture at Rutgers University.
