Presidio Trails Y Run, presented by the Presidio Y – 10K, 5K, and 1.5 mile distances
The Presidio Community YMCA is hosting the 2nd annual “Presidio Y Trails Run” on Sunday April 27, 2014. This unique and challenging trail run winds its way through the Presidio trail system past Inspiration Point overlook, Presidio Golf Course, Rob Hill Campground and more. Proceeds from the event support the Presidio Y's community programs in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
TRAIL RUN COURSE
If you want to walk/run the trail here’s the directions:
Start at Bernard/Fernandez
Up to Ecology Trail past inspiration point
Turn right up past the golf course towards Spire along the Bay Area Ridge Trail
Don’t take the split off the Bay Area Trail, stay on the lower trail
Past Rob Hill Camp Ground turn left to the trail on the side of the road the Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail
Turn left to go past the Marine Cemetary Vista
Up the Park Trail (behind the golf course)
And back on the Bay Area Ridge Trail to West Pacific/Mountain Lake Trail
Mountain Lake Trail to the turn off after the metal posts in the ground
Past Paul Good Field to Ecology Lower
Ecology Lower up to Ecology Trail Upper
Back down the hill to Fernandez

8:30am behind the Presidio Y on Barnard - Due to trail capacity, on raceday, there will be corrals. Times will be based on trail capacity and number of registrants. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to race day.
TRAIL RUNNING RESPONSIBILITIES
We are furtunate for the opportunity to run this event on new and existing trails in the Presidio. This comes with great responsibility; it is up to us – the running community – to make sure we take care of this resource. Please stay on the trails, take any trash out with you, be respectful of others using this space and be aware of your surroundings.

This is noted on our registration application, and when you register for our events you must agree to this policy. The entry fee for this year’s event will NOT transfer to next year’s event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have an unexpected business or family emergency, pregnancy, etc. There are NO exceptions.
