The Rappaport Center for Law and Public Service and the Suffolk Public Interest Law Group invite you to join us on October 13 for President Obama’s Champions of Change event celebrating public service lawyers.
This national, on-line conversation among law students and faculty, public service lawyers, and Attorney General Eric Holder, seeks to get thousands of future agents of legal change talking about what lawyers can do to close the justice gap. The event will illustrate the range and quality of public interest lawyers’ accomplishments by honoring 16 exemplar public service Champions at the White House, hoping to inspire students to add their talents to the effort to secure basic rights for all Americans.
Suffolk University Law School will host our own event for watching the live-streaming video of Attorney General Holder and others at the White House calling on law students to step up their pro bono efforts. After the talk, Attorney General Holder will field questions submitted electronically from students in classrooms across the nation about how to use their legal training to help secure equal access to our justice system.
We hope you can join us, Attorney General Holder and the 16 Champions of Change on October 13!
Light refreshments will be provided.
RSVP is required.
