Daryl L. Minch, Family & Community Health Sciences Educator from Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Somerset County will cover why safety is critical and how to can fresh produce. She will discuss equipment, resources, recipes as well as demonstrating some techniques. Join us to learn the science of canning and turn fruit into tasty spreads or preserve fruits and vegetables you grow.
Where: 355 Courthouse/ S. Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
When: May 15, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Cost: $15.00 which includes a jar of preserves and recipe booklet.
