Preparing your Teaching Portfolio
Thursday, April 18, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
This free workshop is intended for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who are interested in a career in academia. Academic job applications and tenure dossiers often ask for a teaching portfolio, a compilation of materials showcasing a faculty member’s teaching achievements. In this interactive workshop, we will proceed through a sequence of activities designed to help you identify materials to include in your teaching portfolio. This will be a working session, and ideally you will come away having developed substantial components of your teaching portfolio. Please bring a charged laptop, as the room will not be equipped with outlets. Prior to the workshop, you will receive an email with information about the specific materials to bring to the workshop.
