Preparing Lessons and Units for Global Learning

The Minnesota Department of Education is partnering with the SCSU Confucius Institute on FREE professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers to learn how to effectively design and implement lessons and units that embed and embrace global learning. Limited to the first 100 registered participants.
Program Facilitator: Donna Nesbitt, Education Consultant, Columbus Council on World Affairs
Who: MN K-12 teachers from all content areas who have a passion for promoting global learning or who want to learn how to ignite global learning with students.
What: Learn what global competency is and how to create and design lessons that promote this competency. Participants are asked to bring your own device.
Where: Minnesota Department of Education, 1500 Hwy. 36 West, Roseville, MN 55113 Conference Center B Room 15
When: March 1, 2014 9:00 AM-3:30 PM (Hour long lunch break on your own)
Why: Participants will not only gain an understanding of strategies for strengthening and enhancing global learning. Networking opportunities will be provided to collaborate with other globally orientated teachers!
