Prayer as Social Action: How Faith, Trust and Surrender Can Be Powerful Change Agents for our Turbulent Times

Everyday Medicine Woman® invites you to join a teaching circle with esteemed elders elders Grandmother FlordemayoGrandmother Mona Polacca and Grandmother Rita Long-Visitor Holy Dance, members of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.

Holding a position of Eldership requires the ability to serve the collective on many levels. Whether it is one person, a crop, a tree or a nation, a Grandmother wisdom keeper knows how to commune with the seen and unseen realms and can use her abilities in a deep and expansive way to offer guidance in situations that have no easy solutions.

Each Grandmother carries her own ancient lineage that has endured in spite of profound suffering and mistreatment. One of the reasons is this unbroken connection to the web of life woven by the original Grandmothers who walk by their side at all times. The Grandmothers offer us this sacred understanding so that we might develop approaches for healing, problem solving and reconciliation in our own lives, whether with our families, schools, work and or urban environments.

All proceeds and support benefit the 13th Gathering of The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers in South Dakota, hosted by Grandmother Rita Long-Visitor Holy Dance.

Parking Information: As you turn on to N. North Branch Street, go past the school entrance and take a right into the first driveway entrance. Guests may park directly in front of the building. Parking is free.

Please Note: When purchasing multiple tickets, please register each guest separately for each event. Tickets are non-refundable. Please bring your printed ticket (it will be attached to your confirmation email upon purchase) to the door for admission. For questions, email us at: edaygrandmothers@gmail.com.
