PRAL Nola Presents: Hurricane Preparedness
As we start revisiting and fine tuning our communication plans in advance of hurricane season, accurate, timely and concise information is critical to successful operations during emergencies and disasters. Our April 8 presentation will focus on the City of New Orleans’s crisis and emergency risk communication framework, including the NOLA Ready social media platforms and citywide automated emergency alert system (EAS).
About the speaker: Dev Jani is currently the Planning Section Chief for the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP). In this capacity, he leads a team dedicated to strengthening all-hazards resilience through strategic, operational and tactical emergency management framework, manages the planning section during Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, and assists in the administration of several homeland security and public health preparedness grants.
