PRAL NOLA presents...
Google+: A Guide to Plus for PR Pros
Still haven’t figured out how this latest gift from the Google gods can be used to benefit your clients or even your own business? Adele Tiblier, director of interactive strategy for New Orleans-based FSC Interactive as well as a Google Certified Small Business Trainer discusses this new tool during our November luncheon. She will take you back to PR basics while applying strategies to this new platform. Topics that she'll cover include how to find and connect with a target audience in order to share stories, releases, and other messaging; the benefits of getting familiar and into Google+ early before complete saturation, and the sometimes unintended benefits of using Google+ (and other Google products) for PR.
About the speaker: Adele Tiblier serves as the director of interactive strategy for FSC Interactive, an online marketing and consulting firm. Adele has been a self-proclaimed geek since her earliest years. Into computers since as long as she can remember, she lucked out in 1994 when she began working for a New Orleans-based ISP (internet service provided – you know like AOL but local). Sitting on the end of T1 when others were dialing up at 56K if they were lucky, Adele got the chance to surf at lightning speed. Her love of the Internet was instant and only grew with the each passing day. By digging into existing sites, she would break them and reconfigure in order to teach herself HTML, then onto graphics programs as the space evolved. And search engines (there wasn’t and isn’t anything she can’t find online). People took note. She was recruited to serve as the Director of Internet Marketing for a nationwide online hotel booking site. She then moved on to moderate the Online Ads Discussion Board (a forum for those in the online marketing industry – back before social was called social). Adele has since used her online marketing and PR experience to shine a light on the New Orleans tech community as both a job and a passion.
