Event Details

  • This workshop will offer faculty a hands-on learning opportunity for planning class activities that support deeper learning in conjunction with developing the pre-class video lectures and assessment strategies.  Mat Schottenfeld, Television Production Manager at the Library’s Electronic Information Center, and also a presenter on Flipped Classrooms at last years Educause conference, will talk about:

    • Self-directed and self-paced flexible learning

    • Testing and quizzing strategies

    • Student presentations and peer learning

    • Direct student feedback through, anonymous polls, forums, and texting

  • Note: A pre-workshop video lecture will be provided on-line prior to the workshop, all participants should view the video lesson, as the workshop will be conducted using the flipped class model.
