The Power to Become Conference is a new event coming to BYU-Idaho for students, alumni and community members. The conference will feature successful and exciting speakers who will be discussing how to discover your passion, how to share your story on social media and how to network with professionals. In this two-day event, aspiring practitioners from all fields of study will learn the skills to meet the people that will help them become leaders in their chosen industry.
CIO of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Blaine Maxfield is the CIO of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has worked for SunGard—a fortune 500 company. Blaine attended Ricks College, graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Organizational Behavior and finalized his education with a Master’s degree in Business Strategy at Stanford.

Christopher Galbraith is a Supply Chain and Business Executive at Sealed Air and has worked as a Trader for Credit Suisse in New York and London. Christopher graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho and was one of the first alumni to attend the Harvard Business School.

Dave Blanchard is the CEO of The Og Mandino Group and managing partner of Intentional Creation, LLC. Before becoming a Gold Telly Award and Crystal Communicator Award winner, Blanchard got his start at Ricks College where he played free safety for the Intermountain College Athletic Conference championship team in 1971.

Amy Antonelli is CEO and Co-Founder of Sparkplug; a company that helps startup companies with crowd-funding resource. After studying history at BYU-Idaho, Amy went on to help found Power School, work for Steve Jobs at Apple, help start the non-profit Rising Star Outreach in India, and complete her MPA from Harvard.

John Dye is the Director of Digital Media at Bonneville Communications where he leads the I’m a Mormon campaign. John also worked as the President of Fluid, a graphic design studio in Salt Lake City. John is an alumni of both Brigham Young University Idaho and Brigham Young University.

Chris McChesney is the Global Practice Leader of Execution at Franklin Covey and Wall Street Journal #1 National Best Selling Author of The 4 Disciplines of Execution. Chris attended Ricks College and graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication.
