Portfolio Redefined: Educator Edition

Parsons, MAD, The Joan Mitchell Foundation and Ashcan Studio host portfolio development and college access events throughout the year. We are devoted to workshopping ideas and practices to support students in building a competitive portfolio and application for art & design college programs. Throughout the year, separate workshops are hosted for students, parents, and educators.

Portfolio Redefined: Educator Edition includes hands-on sessions on how to document work and write artist statements, and roundtable discussions.  Working artists, designers and educators share projects and give guidance to teachers and students. Educators have an opportunity to experience how students can conceptualize and develop ideas which can be presented as a body of work.

The day will include...

9:30-9:45 Breakfast

9:45 -10 Introductions to the sponsoring organizations

9:30-10 Presentation: Attributes of a Strong Portfolio
