Keynote: Marc Bamuthi Joseph

Plus a special screening of World Trust Education's latest film, the acclaimed, Cracking the Codes: The System of Racial Inequity, and conversation with producer Shakti Butler

This conference is open to all POCIS member school adults including heads of school,
equity leaders, staff, trustees and families.

 

Conference Schedule:
8:30am Registration
9:00am Welcome
9:15am keynote: Marc Bamuthi Joseph 
10:00am Q&A
10:20am Break
10:35: Shakti Butler: setting the context & screening Cracking the Codes
11:50: Guided Reflection & Dialogue
12:15pm Lunch
12:50pm breakout sessions; how are we "cracking the codes" from our respective positions w/in our school communities? How can we do more? (groupings by role in school. ie heads, counselors, parents, faculty, etc)
1:55pm closing
2:20pm social/farewell
