Dec 1st 2011
I invite you to join me in an evening of stories and songs inspired by a month-long trip across the USA.
During March 2011 I travelled coast to coast from San Francisco to New York City via a crowd of people that I knew from the internet, asking for direction on my blog and Twitter.
The purpose of the trip was not to see whether it *could* be done, or even how cheaply or directly it could be done. Rather, I wanted to see what happened if I set myself on one side of a continent and allowed my existing social network to help me get to the other side. Or as I said before setting out: "What happens when I let go of control and ask for help?"
I knew that if I did it, I would come back with some stories worth telling. This evening is your chance to hear a few of them, including The Sauna in Seattle, Mardi Gras in Milwaukee and Making Mozzarella in Maine!
Join me and my ukulele on a heart-warming ramble over 8,000 miles of railway track and the spare rooms and sofa beds of suburban America.
There'll be another show next week too, look out for announcements from @lloyddavis
C4CC can't serve booze so bring your own beverage :)
I'll be passing the hat for donations, bring folding money!
