Play Nice! An exclusive Games Industry event taking place in London to demonstrate how to maximise player engagement by using games differently.
‘Play Nice’ will feature industry leaders presenting the latest ideas and innovations on how video games can be used to change the world, showcasing how games can be used for educational, philanthropic and life-changing purposes.
Speakers to include:
Jeremy Gilley, founder of the UN sanctioned movement ‘Peace One Day’ will discuss his incredible experience and motivations for setting up Peace One Day. Jeremy will also discuss ‘Peace Games’, the new gaming initiative focussed on championing games developers to come together within the month of September to support Peace One Day.
Paul Gough, CEO of Playdemic will discuss creating an emotional experience for gamers in the critically acclaimed ‘Village Life’.
- Martha Henson, co-Director of Edugameshub, will discuss the growing interest in educational games along with some of the challenges faced by start-ups and developers in this space.
- Max Vetter, Assistant Director at ICC Commercial Crime Services will discuss how children are increasingly exploring the online world and that making sure they understand how to do it safely should be a primary concern for the games industry.
Katie Bell, Global Director of Business Development of Stardoll will discuss how Stardoll is getting girls interested in and coding.
Dr Steven Battersby & Mr Luke Shires will discuss how utilising technology such as Microsoft’s Kinect is helping people undergoing physiotherapy
The post-presentation networking will take place in the venues secret garden, and will be accompanied by great tunes by DJ Oisin Lunny. Oisin has been DJing for over 20 years now and recently performed events with Travis and Paul Weller.
