Brand new beginners are invited to this popular pillow workshop taught by Sarah Terry. Learn to sew in a non-intimidating environent, and make a fabulous pillow while you're at it!
In class one, participants will learn the basics of cutting and machine-sewing, including how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, sew a straight stitch, and pivot around corners.
In class two, students will apply all of the above skills to make a whimsical, decorative pillow. Piece several fabrics together, or create a pillow with just one fabric for a simpler splash of color.
Bring your own machine or sign up early to reserve one of four shop machines. Note: Students will need to purchase/provide up to 1 yard of fabric and one pillow form (available at Sew Memphis) in addition to the $45 series fee. Both are available at Sew Memphis at a 10% class discount.
