Join us to commemorate the High Line’s fifth anniversary at our first Pie Social and honor the community who made the park possible.
The Pie Social is open to visitors of all ages.
On June 9, 2009, the first half-mile section of the High Line – between Gansevoort and West 20th Streets – officially opened, allowing members of the public to access the newly transformed park for the first time. This year we celebrate the fifth anniversary of this moment that was the result of 10 years of advocacy work on the part of Friends of the High Line. What once seemed like “pie in the sky” has now become reality – this fall the third section of the park will open at the rail yards. Join us to commemorate the High Line’s fifth anniversary at our first Pie Social to celebrate all we’ve accomplished with your help.
Bubby’s High Line has graciously donated pie and lemonade for this event.
