Why: To meet Mark Hawkins, CEO of Altura Credit Union.
Mark Hawkins is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Altura Credit Union and has been with the financial institution since 1988. He is a graduate of Indiana University, Florida Southern College, and of the Stanford University Executive Management Program and the Harvard Business School Advanced Leadership Institute.
Mr. Hawkins’ current community and industry service experience ranges from serving on the board of directors for Auto Experts of America, LLC and the Altura Foundation. He is also currently involved in a number of educational institutions, including the Board of Visitors for California Baptist University, UC Riverside Foundation Board of Trustees Member and Highlanders Athletics Association Board, and Foundation Board of Directors for La Sierra University. He rounds out his community involvement with also serving as a member of the Foundation Board of Directors for the Riverside Philharmonic.
Mr. Hawkins past activities in the community include serving as Chairman of the Board for the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, past Chairman of the Board and past Campaign Chair for United Way of Inland Valleys. He also held the positions of past president of Kiwanis Club of Riverside, board member of The Raincross Club, and past chairman of the Credit Union Executives Society.
