This will be a 2 hour Photoshop Essentials Workshop covering topics such as:
1.Basics of color management: does your screen match my screen and your printer?
2.Picking the right photo to edit
7.Layers and local adjustments (burning and dodging for old darkroom hands)
8.Correcting spots, dust, etc.
If you are new to Photoshop or are a bit weak in some of the above areas of Photoshop and want to improve your photo editing skills, this the workshop for you! Shayok will be demonstrating how to edit your photos using the tools and techniques mentioned above.
Requirements: A laptop and power strip as well as any version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you do not have Photoshop, download the free trial version from the Adobe website THE DAY OF THE WORKSHOP. The trial is only good for 30 days and it needs to be good through the Workshop and any subsequent Workshops offered in February. Please also bring 2-3 photos on your laptop that you would like to work on.
About the Presenter:
Shayok Mukhopadhyay does a wide range of photography, from landscape to photojournalism, with a set of tools ranging from view cameras to video. He is currently at work on a short film about an alternative high school, and is scheduled to exhibit his Quebec work in New York early next year. He studied Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the International Center of Photography, New York.
