Caution: The group is limited to twelve,

so that each person can fully participate in the discussion.

Producing your presentation for funding a documentary is an arduous task.  The documentary style has become the hot move for film, television, radio and branded content.  In the traditional media model, the proposal can be as difficult as actually making the product.

In the Thornhill Digital Storytelling structure, the emphasis on digital tools begins with the concept, not just to support or promote the finished product.  Information gathering can be efficient.  Retention of points, clues and outline begins the process for a beautiful database.

Consider the ease of a conversation, a blog or even a radio show for the storyteller – yet still in the documentary format.

Support that with the basic elements of a photo essay and you are on your way.  The short trail could be: Concept, Research, Timeline, Digital Landscape, Photo Essay, Scaffolding, Crew, Writer, Script, Blocking, Storyboard, Characters, Digital Assets & Features, Dialogue, Audio, Music, Illustration, Production, Nonlinear Editing, Rewrite, Post-production, Distribution and Promotion.

To better make the point, I will initiate a call for partners to develop a gallery show to present these points – with photography.

The call for partners starts this month, April 2013.  The multi-faceted show will be in 2014.

With many years researching elements of creativity, development and production through the Thornhill Digital Storytelling Documentary Funding Proposal seminars, I am confident that centering first attention for production on photography, the proposal through presentation through completion will be much smoother.

Join us for a fun gathering, enlightening conversation with your business and creative friends – plus a timely update on the quickly-growing structure and products of The Thornhill Design Laboratory.

The purpose of this event is to give details about partners,

continuous improvement and specific opportunities.

Photography is the main illustration tool in the design of HEADLINES Newsletter, the new publication from Thornhill & Studio.  We don’t have a start date yet, but when it gets closer – we will not be shy.

While in California this month, I expect to have production meetings for Thornhill News, The Digital Television Report (DTR), America Is A Great Arts Place (AGAP), Thornhill Digital Storytelling, The Fashion Media Project and the new bookstore.

Let me know if you need the overall schedule or specific dates, times and locations for any of the titles.

There will also be a time set aside for a loose coffee conversation at the Rose Café.

Thanks.
