How to get great photos of your kids as they really are.

This course reviews some basics of good photography including exposure and lighting, but focuses mainly on timing and lighting for getting good photos of your kids at play. The class will be held at Takoma Rec Center. (Other locations will be considered based on demand.) Creative tips include: how to look for good natural light, proper framing, anticipating action, and setting focus.
General info
This course is a single 2-hour class. The first hour will be a discussion of the necessary components of taking a good action photograph and the rest of the class will be practicing the techniques. Weather permitting we will photograph indoors and out. Kids are encouraged to attend.

Family friendly

Because this class is about taking photos of children, you are encouraged to attend with your child(ren). All moods make for good photographs!

What to bring
Each student will be given a photographer's notebook with the main concepts from the course printed inside. There will be room for notes, so bring a pen or pencil. Detailed information about exactly where to meet will be emailed to all registered students the week of the class.
