Event Details

Our April meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 27th at 7:30. Guild member Jeff Eckel will be speaking on “Swarms, Splits and Queens”. In an effort to start breeding a locally adapted bee, Jeff has begun raising queens and making nucs in the past few years. Jeff will talk about his experiences and share his extensive beekeeping knowledge with us.

We are excited to be meeting at a new location this month, Lloyd Hall on Boathouse Row. Lloyd Hall is a city recreation center that is centrally located at a beautiful spot on the Schuylkill river. There is a large parking lot right next to the hall, although as always, carpooling is still probably a good idea. Enter the building at the main entrance under the “Lloyd Hall” sign and go up the first set of stairs on your left. There is also an elevator for anyone who might need it.
