This year, we will be celebrating our Founders’ Day Banquet on Friday, March 1, 2013, and we offer you some new directions for the Atlanta AA. Brother Mike McCoy, Indiana Beta 1958, will be our featured speaker. Mike is our National Historian (SWSG for those who remember their pledge ed), and will be sharing some of those details that may have missed your reading or instruction regarding our history. We have already heard from a number of Brothers who will be attending for the first time and others who will be returning after a considerable absence. The pertinent details of the banquet are included with this newsletter, along with directions and a map to assist you in finding your way back to the Petite Auberge Restaurant. We anticipate a great deal of celebration, renewing our contacts with Brothers from years past and meeting those who are new to the Atlanta Alumni Association. President Scott Percy, Georgia Beta 2000; Vice President Evan Gibson, Georgia Beta 2000, along with Secretary/Treasurer Flynn Brantley, South Carolina Alpha 1972 and Deputy Secretary/Treasurer Mark Vande Kerkhoff, Ohio Zeta 1986 will be on hand to ensure that the business session for the association moves expeditiously. An excellent dinner has been planned, preceded by a social hour, and followed by a brief business meeting of the Atlanta Association. Please note that we will begin the evening half an hour earlier than in past years. We will be electing association officers and delegates to the WWLS/DC, with reports from the chapters. This is one of those rare occasions when we can mingle with the latest generation of Brothers, to discover that we may be separated by age, but not by ideals, to join together in celebration and song – even if slightly off-key.
