Tobias Billström has served as Minister for Migration and Asylum Policy since 2006. He has also served as Minister of Employment in the Swedish government. Previously, he was a Member of the Board of the Swedish Migration Board, Member of the Riksdag, including its Committee on Social Insurance, Political Editor at the newspaper Nordvästra Skånes Tidningar, and Member of Malmö Municipal Council. He has a Master of Philosophy in Historical Studies from University of Cambridge, MA in History from Lund University, and a BA in History, Political Science, Modern International History, and Eastern and Central European Studies from Lund University.
