Who: Volunteers of all ages are welcome; minors under 18 require a signed waiver and children under 13 require an accompanying adult unless prior approval is obtained from the workday supervisor. For groups of 5 or more, please contact Sara Witt, firstname.lastname@example.org, before signing up.
What: Volunteers will help with habitat enhancement by removing invasive weeds, mulching and watering native plants along Permanente Creek.
Where to meet: The workday will take place on the Permanente Creek Trail (see above map) in the city of Mountain View on Google Campus, between Charleston Avenue and Amphitheatre Parkway. We will be meeting near the red Permanente Creek pedestrian bridge on Google campus halfway between Charleston Avenue and Amphitheatre Parkway.
Parking: Parking is available at any of the parking lots near the intersection of Charleston Rd. and Alta Ave. in Mountain View or along Amphitheatre Parkway. Parking is available in the Google lot for Buildings 41, 42 and 43, (near Charleston and Alta, but also accessible from Amphitheatre Parkway) and the Permanente Creek Trail is nearest to this parking lot.
Please bring: A reusable water bottle, sun protection (hat and/or sunscreen) and dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and long pants recommended, please wear clothes that you won't mind getting dirty). We provide gloves and tools. Minors under 18 must bring a waiver form signed by a parent.
