Please read the following, it is information you should know before submitting your application. It is also the Terms and Conditions for this application.

Terms and conditions for applying to perform at Cairo Caravan.
No refunds, no exceptions.
All questions on the application need to be answered.
Time slots are given on a first come, first serve basis.
Online applications are taken in order by when the application is completed on line.
We will use the postmark on the envelope to determine the day and time paper applications are completed.
When the performance coordinator receives a COMPLETED application, the performance will be put on the schedule and a tentative day and time will be sent to the applicant.
Paper applications are available to down load off the MECDA website.
You must provide a phone number on paper applications. The performance coordinator needs to be provided with a way to contact the applicant.
Because we get more requests to perform than we have spots, NO dancer will be scheduled to perform in more than one spot.
NO recording or videoing while there are performances on the stage.
This includes cell phones and behaviors deemed to appear like videotaping.
Violators may be escorted from Cairo Caravan for ignoring this policy.
DVD's of your performance will be available to you only, however, MECDA reserves the right to use clips from the event for promotional and advertising purposes. Contracts to pre-order your performance video will be sent with your performance confirmation/time.
Part of your application process is to prepay for your admission into the show on the day you’re performing. Since you are performing you get in the show for that day at a reduced rate. If you are a MECDA member there is an even greater discount!
If you are volunteering you will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator.
If you do not set up a volunteer shift your application will be considered as void and you can resubmit after purchasing your admission tickets or setting up your volunteer shift.
If you are applying for a troupe, you can put in your application and your troupe members all at once or you can apply for yourself, and your troupe members can put in the application themselves though it is very important that they use the troupe name in the “performance name” section on the application.
At least 4 troupe members need to have applied in order to be put on the schedule. The whole troupe needs to have applied by May 1st.
All troupe member who do not apply by May 1st will need to pay at the door
Only the troupe leader, or contact person for the troupe should email the performance coordinator. Any other members of the troupe contacting the performance coordinator will be referred to talk to the troupe leader.
We have hundreds of performances, please help limit email traffic, only one contact per troupe!
The participant agrees to protect, indemnify, defend and hold harmless MECDA,their respective staff and agents against all claims, losses, or damages to persons or property, governmental charges or fines, costs, including reasonable Attorney’s fees, arising out of or connected with your performance, except those claims arising out of the sole negligence to the Hotel.
