Along with Chef Ryan in tandem with the guidance of sports dietitian, Linda Samuels, you’ll learn how to fuel first then properly recover with delicious recipes, highlighting the functionality behind each of the ingredients. Using the principles behind sweat rate monitoring in conjunction with functional food & drink recipes, you’ll get educated on customizing your own hydration plan. Linda Samuels' (MS, RD, LDN, METS) experience stretches from advanced training at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to Multisport University where she was mentored by renowned sports dietitian & author, Bob Seebohar, and most recently with her current position as Team Nutritionist for Northwestern University's Triathlon Team.
The "Centered Chef" Ryan Hutmacher is CEO & Founder of the Centered Chef culinary studio in Chicago, IL. His expertise has been featured on local and national networks including NBC, WGN, CLTV, WCIU, CBS and FOX, where he showcases functional ingredients that can be prepared both easily and healthfully. He's a contributor to publications including Chicago Athlete, USAT "Fuel Station" and Competitor Magazine and has been featured by Crain's Business Chicago and Triathlete Magazine, for his work as an entrepreneur. As an Ironman and marathoner, he actively participates in the Chicago endurance sport community.
