OUR FEATURED SPEAKER: CHARLES FISHMAN
Charles Fishman is one of America’s most celebrated investigative journalists, specializing in business innovation and social responsibility. Currently an award-winning senior writer at Fast Company, he has reported, with striking authority, on everything from Wal-Mart to the new water economy. Fishman’s latest book, The Big Thirst, examines how water resources will come to define this century. The Washington Post praised Fishman’s skillful writing and research saying, “investigative journalism is rarely as entertaining as it is informative, but Fishman manages both feats.” Fishman’s message will redefine how you look at water, our most essential but in many ways misunderstood resource.

People For Puget Sound has a powerful 20–year history bringing positive change to Puget Sound. Founded by the grassroots vision of a dedicated few, People For Puget Sound has grown to an authoritative voice on preservation and restoration that’s heard on regional and national levels. We advocate for strong conservation policies, educate the public, and implement on-the-ground restoration. Our long-term goals are immense but can be reached together: restore clean water to Puget Sound, restore wildlife populations in Puget Sound, and inspire the entire Puget Sound community to take ownership of our Sound’s health and act in its best interest.
