Oktoberfest is at hand! Over two hundred years after Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen wed, the Hiller Aviation Museum joins the celebration with a special Oktoberfest beer, music and dining event on Saturday, October 4th.
In honor of the great festival held in Munich each year, the Peninsula Oktoberfest will pour:
- Hofbrau HEFE Weiss
- Weltenburg barock dunkel
- Andechs Doppelbock
- VOLL BIER
- St. Michaelsberg Festbier
- Stiegl Radler
- Fruh KOLSCH
- Dinkelacker PILS
Great Microbrews and Seasonal Beers from:
- Devil’s Canyon
- Voodoo Brewing Company
- Uncommon Brewery
German food will be available for separate purchase. Plenty of sausages, bratwurst, and sauerkraut
Two Bands; traditional Bavarian from the San Mateo Elks Band and Bayern Maiden, The Rockin’ Oktoberfest Band playing the hits directly played from the tents in Munich
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Children are welcome at the event and museum BUT you must be 21+ years of age to purchase and consume alcohol.
Additional admission tickets for children and the designated driver (or those not drinking) can be purchased in the museum gift shop.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The museum has FREE parking. You are also welcome to park at the hotel next door to the museum or in any of the airport parking lots down Skyway Rd. Better yet - leave the car at home and take CalTrain. We provide a FREE shuttle between the San Carlos Train Station and the Museum the day of the event.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please wear your lederhosen, dirndl or Oktoberfest hat. If you don't have a hat then there will be some great Oktoberfest hats for sale at the event.
Bring a photo ID in order to get your 21+ wristband
Please leave your pets at home. Only registered Service Dogs will be allowed at the event.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes, please bring your printed ticket to the event. It makes the system go much faster.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
The name does not need to match the name on the ticket BUT once a ticket is used it will be void and not be able to be used again.

The Hiller Aviation Museum is a non-profit 501(c)3 educational institution preserving the legacy of flight and provides inspiration for future generations.
