Peewinkle's Puppet Studio
A Magical Evening in “Suspended Animation”
With Phillip Huber and The Huber Marionettes
On July 24, 2014, Indianapolis based Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio, invites its supporters, guests, and friends to the Indianapolis Art Center for a unique and exclusive cabaret presentation of internationally acclaimed marionette artist, Phillip Huber for an extraordinary evening of puppetry. Phillip Huber is best known for his work in the 3-time Academy Award® nominated film BEING JOHN MALKOVICH and his performance as “China Girl” featured in the Disney film, OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL.
The cabaret production of “Suspended Animation” is distinctly adult in its sophistication and will entertain and captivate the audience through its subtle artistry to touch the innocence within us all. This evenings performance is a glimpse into a series of experiences planned by Peewinkle’s Puppet Studio as this art form takes its rightful place in the Indianapolis art community.
Prior to the cabaret, guests will savor a scrumptious hors d’oeuvre buffet in the Gallery presented by Mary Beth Poe Catering, and enjoy wine, local beer and jazz entertainment on the Terrace.
Guests will be invited to the Frank M. Basile Auditorium for the magical cabaret performance of “Suspended Animation” performed by Phillip Huber.
Serving as a delicious finale to the evening, guests will be invited to the Gallery for a post performance reception with Phillip Huber. Coffee and designer desserts by local artist, Kim Beaty, of Cupcakes and Cookies by Kim, will be served.
