Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM (PST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
What: Pedal Power 2013
When: Saturday, February 16
Time: 9AM - 11:30AM (Brunch will be provided)
You and a teammate will pedal for 30 minutes and compete to generate the most watts in a half hour. There will be a total of 20 teams compteing for the top three spots, we'll have some great prizes for the winners!
We will harness the power produced that morning to cook brunch for everyone!
The effort illustrates how hard it is to generate power and generates electricity that powers the event, including music and cook-tops. The event includes a competition to see who can crank the most watts, tons of cool swag, plus some great food (cooked with the energy participants produce)! Richmond Cycling Corps will host the event in its Scott’s Addition facilities at 1717 Summit Avenue.
Two person teams will compete to generate the most power over the course of 30 minutes. Each team member will start at the same time and have the professional coaches from Richmond Cycling Corps to help provide encouragement so they reach their full potential. The three teams that produce the most electricity will win prizes. We will have a total of 20 teams competing in the event.
This is a family friendly event, please feel free to compete with your significant other, child, brother, sister, father, mother or just bring them along as your own personal cheering section!
Participants are required to bring their own bicycles.
Pedal Power 2013 is not possible without the support from our generous sponsors.
