Peck Native Seed Garden Planting
Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (MDT)

London, United Kingdom
Peck Seed Garden is going on to its third year of production. Select seeds that have been collected on Open Space were grown out into starts, and now are ready to be planted at the garden. The species that we will be plating are blanket flower, Gaillardia aristata; purple reedgrass, Calamagrostis purpurascens; and Parry’s Oatgrass, Danthonia parryi. By having this in-house growing operation, we are able to continue increasing the amounts of seed from these select species for our seed bank. The Peck Seed Garden is a wonderful collaboration between BCPOS, our tenant Ollin Farms, as well as help from volunteers, Boulder County Youth Corp, and the Inmate Work Crew. We hope you join us in planting this spring! This volunteer project may not be used for court ordered community service hours.
