Come meet the freelancers who do a lot of the heavy lifting at both national and local outlets and learn how they can be a valuable part of your next media relations campaign. You'll learn more about how freelancers operate, how they work with their editors and best practices for pitching them to help get that next placement.

PANELISTS:

  • Megy Karydes, President of Karydas Consulting and freelance writer specializing in sustainability, travel, health and retail for both consumer and b2b media outlets
  • Jeff Steele, Freelance writer for outlets including the Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun and Barron's
  • Sandra Swanson, freelance writer for outlets including Crain's Chicago Business, Chicago Magazine, Better Homes and Garden and Scientific American
