We’ve all heard of Louis C.K. However, it takes more than comic chops to make an idea come to life on TV. Enter Paul Koestner, the director of photography entrusted with the task of seeing that FX’s “Louie” maintains the indie film look its audience appreciates. With over 30 years in the business and a string of comedy credits to his name, it’s no wonder he’s gotten something of a handle on this tightly budgeted storytelling business.
In this 2 hour workshop, Paul will discuss what a director of photography does while on set and what his normal workday is like, which is in no way normal. Then he will give time to show some of the tricks-of-the-trade he uses when filming. Students will walk away with instruction they can put into practice immediately...he sincerely hopes.
Limited to 20 students. Students on wait list will be given advance notice of future classes.
