Patrol Rifle Operator Program


2-day program (20+ hours)






This program is an advanced carbine program that teaches the operator how to fight with the carbine, not just poke holes in paper and make piles of spent brass. This class is focused at those who use a carbine or rifle in the course of their occupation to protect themselves and others. The program and its various courses of fire focus on proven techniques that have a broad array of applications for the rifle or carbine including, patrol operations, emergency response, personal defense and intermediate range applications under the most austere conditions. The course is designed to provide a high degree of personal development topics concentrating on those areas that will enable the operator to become highly proficient.


This is both a physically and mentally demanding program, students should be in good physical condition and be capable of carrying moderate weight, sprinting for brief periods and assuming awkward positions with no assistance.




  • Developing a winning mindset (Train to Win™)
  • Tactical weapons handling and advanced tactical movement.
  • Keeping the rifle running
  • Presentation and transition drills
  • Reloads and stoppage drills
  • Unconventional shooting positions
  • Advanced problem solving drills
  • Confined space and vehicle shooting drills


Equipment Requirements


  • 1000 rounds of appropriate caliber rifle or carbine ammunition
  • 300 rounds of appropriate caliber handgun ammunition
  • Serviceable rifle caliber carbine
  • Duty handgun with minimum of three magazines
  • Holster, magazine carriers and gear for handgun
  • Serviceable sling for carbine/rifle - capable of a variety of shooting positions
  • Minimum of one magazine pouch - or reliable method of carry for spare carbine/rifle magazines
  • Minimum of three serviceable magazines for the carbine/rifle (5 or more is better)
  • Eye protection
  • Hearing protection
  • Ball cap or other billed cap
  • Cold and/or wet weather clothing (as needed)
