Description

Come celebrate the traditional Jewish holiday of Passover with the GSM community. Passover commemorates the liberation of the Jewish slaves from Egypt.

A Passover Seder is similar to a Thanksgiving dinner and includes traditional food, wine, and mindfulness. You can also expect games, singing, and good times!

Passover is also about relaxation and comfort so BYOP (bring your own pillow)!

This event is a potluck so please bring food to share. Traditional Passover foods follow certain dietary guidelines which make them Kosher for Passover.

WHAT’S KOSHER FOR PASSOVER?

It all comes down to the grains:

NO: Flour, yeast, wheat, barley, rye, oats, and spelt, that has leavened, or “puffed up.” Bread, pastries, pasta.
YES: legumes, beans, peas, rice, millet, corn, and seeds

You don't need to follow these rules, however. All food is welcome!

This event is a sit down dinner so please RSVP and arrive on time.
