11 am Dr. Denise Sheridan presents “Quilting a Culture and All That Jazz: A Legacy of African American Artistic Rhythms"
Reflecting on her journey in an extended family of material culture artists, Dr. Sheridan will share the cultural and familial musings that inspire her work as a nationally recognized African American quilt artist & scholar. From New Orleans Jazz to moving Gospel Spirituals, the heritage woven into Sheridan's narrative quilts is a culturally enlightening experience not to be missed. Free. Exclusive Westside Art Tour
Noon A not-to-be-missed finale event with private access to two of the Central Coast's premier art collections. Docents provide unique details of each home and its most important works. With arts education cut from local schools, Studios on the Park provides free visual arts programming for Paso Robles’ 3000 public elementary students.
