Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
Please join the Scandinavian School in San Francisco for some traditional Scandinavian Easter Arts & Crafts (påskpyssel) on Sunday March 17. In true Scandinavian spirit, we will use natural and recycled materials, such as garlic, to create our Easter decorations. There will of course be coffee and cookies (fika) for everyone, and Easter eggs for the children!
The Easter witch (påskkärring), says she will make a pit stop at the school on her way to Blåkulla where the annual Easter Witch meeting is held. She will give some good advice on how to make a mess, how NOT to take good care of your teeth, and be very loud!
Please join us for this fun event, which is for children of all ages and their parents. Children are welcome to come dressed up as påskkärringar – dressed in headscarf, dress, and apron, and påskgubbar –dressed in men’s clothing, hat, and a mustache.
