Event Details

This open-mic event was rescheduled from its original date of Saturday, July 20th. We will now be holding it on Saturday, August 3rd!

The Hoboken Public Library is proud to present Park Bench Open-Mic, in the gazebo
of Church Square Park, set in the heart of Hoboken. Our Open-Mic caters to those
who want to perform poetry, music or comedy. This is an outdoor space for anyone
eager to perform and experiment on their art.

We are absolutely thrilled to feature an amazing performer whose music is garnished
with poetic soul paying tribute to the traditional voice of folk. Allen Gogarty is an Irish
singer songwriter based in New York. His delivery is direct and clever bringing the
audience on a breathtaking musical journey. He has played and toured Europe
under the group "Native Tongue" and with the Donegal based "Stone River". He
supported Suzanne Vega in 1998 during her Irish Tour and also Status Quo during
the summer of 2001.

Park Bench Poetry Open-Mic has featured unique and talented acts attracting curious
locals who are introduced to the buzz of the Hoboken arts scene. It is a great event
not only to experience the arts, but to also learn of all the free programs the Hoboken
Public Library has to offer. Come join us at 2pm on August 3rd and be part of our
friendly Community.
